Elizabeth "Betsy" Ferguson is GuideWell's executive vice president, chief legal officer, responsible for leading the company's legal functions. In this role, she oversees legal strategy, regulatory affairs, compliance, privacy, and corporate governance, serving as an executive leader and a trusted advisor to the board as GuideWell navigates a complex and evolving health care landscape.

Ferguson brings more than three decades of legal experience across private practice, federal government, and senior in-house roles at some of the nation's largest health care organizations.

Ferguson has served on multiple local not for profit boards, including Westfield Day Care Center, the College Women’s Club of Westfield, the Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield and the United Way of Rhode Island. 

Ferguson holds a J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of the Michigan Law Review, and an A.B. in physics and economics from Smith College.
